“Amongst Us All:  Stories, Essays, Poems and Mad Scribblings from the Posthumous Papers of the Phantom Writers Guild”

The initial publication of the Phantom Writers Guild contains Essays, Stories, Poems, a Novella and cartoons.

Bridgehampton, NY – The members of the Phantom Writers Guild are pleased to announce their initial publication, Amongst Us All: Stories, Essays, Poems and Mad Scribblings from the Posthumous Papers of the Phantom Writers Guild, available exclusively for amazon kindle.

“In the 1980s a group of young people with a love of telling stories and sharing opinions came together. This informal association would not be christened until nearly a decade had passed and one of our number spoke, in passing, of the Phantom Writers Guild. This book, Amongst Us All: Stories, Essays, Poems and Mad Scribblings from the Posthumous Papers of the Phantom Writers Guild, is the culmination of nearly three decades of late nights and friendship.”

Among the entries are stories involving unorthodox cleaning methods and an eyewitness (or is it ‘fly-witness’?) account of a job interview. There are essay tributes to Hubert Selby and Levon Helm. One Guild member takes up the task of writing the most challenging poem ever, and there is a novella about a man who finds himself on the wrong side of a scavenger hunt. Each section is punctuated by cartoons courtesy of the Guild’s own “Mad Scribbler”. All authors are native Long Islanders of varying backgrounds and professions. These are not only local interest pieces, however. There are items of interest to science fiction enthusiasts, to literary and silent movie fans and to those who enjoy humorous works. As such, the book contains something for everyone.

Amongst Us All is available for purchase exclusively for Amazon Kindle
